Lissajous curves are traced out by a point oscillating in two directions at once. Lissajous 3D takes this idea into the third dimension, and draws a ribbon, or tube which swirls around to make intricate patterns. They are animated and change shape as time goes on. You can use paramaters for real materials such as gold, pearl, ruby, and can set the lighting accordingy too - sunset, sunny day, dawn, dusk, overcast etc. The curves you make can then be used as a screen saver, along with the ones that come with the program.
